World-Class Learning

Our programs foster hands-on opportunities that help you identify with, understand and experience the world around us. Our seven study tours allow you to explore the inner workings of corporations around the globe, including businesses in Ireland, Paris, London, China and Korea, as well as options across the U.S. in cities such as New York, Chicago and Seattle.

Beyond the Borders

100 percent of our faculty have lived abroad, done business internationally or traveled to other countries — numbers that support our commitment to bringing global perspectives into the classroom and preparing you for an international business career.

A Diverse, Caring Faculty

Our faculty members are supportive and love teaching the next generation of retail and hospitality talent. The expertise they bring through both research and their experience in the corporate realm allows them to infuse real-world concepts into the classroom.

Friends in High Places

Connect with industry pros in your field. At CMHT, we have strong relationships with top-tier companies such as Sally Beauty, Fossil Group, Marriott Hotels, and Omni Hotels and Resorts. We help you launch your career through required internships for every student. You’ll get valuable experience in your field, travel to unique countries and possibly land your first full-time job before graduation. Our locations in Denton and Frisco are part of the Dallas-Fort Worth area — a hub for international business and home to 22 Fortune 500 companies, including Southwest Airlines, GameStop, Ben E. Keith and ClubCorp.

Six-Figure Potential

Graduates have started their own businesses and landed corporate jobs with organizations such as Pier 1, Fossil, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, ClubCorp, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, and Signet Jewelers.

Learn from passionate professors like Dr. Han Wen, Dr. Josiam Bharath and Dr. Daniel Spears, who teamed up to study how movies increase international tourism. Our faculty infuse that kind of expertise into classes every day to help advance your career.

UNT gave three students the opportunity of a lifetime. Thanks to their unique handbag design, the students won the National Retail Federation’s 2016 Student Challenge and got to work with judge and designer Danielle DiFerdinando to bring their concept to life — and ultimately, to be featured in a live appearance on the HSN television shopping network.
