Undergraduate Advising

In conjunction with UNT’s response to the COVID-19 virus, the CMHT Advising office will be transitioning to virtual and phone appointments for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester. Please know that we are absolutely still available to assist students. We want to continue helping you prepare for future semesters, registration, and graduation.  In an effort to keep everyone healthy, we will NOT be offering any walk-in or drop-in advising days this semester. Instead, students should continue to schedule appointments with their assigned advisor as normal, but you will need to indicate in the “specific reason for the appointment question” the TYPE OF APPOINTMENT YOU PREFER: a Virtual appointment (via Zoom) or a Phone appointment.

  • If your appointment is through Zoom, your advisor will send a link to your UNT email to access the meeting prior to the scheduled appointment time.
  • If your appointment is over the phone, your advisor will call you using the phone number you provided at the time of the appointment.

  • Honors College students can begin registering on Monday, March 16 at 7am.
  • Seniors can begin registering on Thursday, March 19 at 7am.
  • Juniors can begin registering on Thursday, March 26 at 7am.
  • Sophomores can begin registering on Thursday, April 2 at 7am.
  • Freshmen can begin registering on Thursday, April 9 at 7am.

Make sure you are signed up for Eagle Alerts:, and please watch your UNT email for regular updates and visit for information regarding UNT’s response and preparedness to this situation. We will continue to keep you informed as the situation evolves.

Please email your advisor if you have any questions or concerns, and we thank you in advance for your patience as our response times may be slightly delayed with the increase in emails received.  Sending multiple emails may delay our response time even more. As always, please include as much detail as possible in your email, and be sure to include your UNT Student ID number.
