SMHM Leadership Academy
Our Mission
The mission of the SMHM Leadership Academy is to transform students into visionary
leaders who are confident, articulate, ethical and adept in relationship building
and problem solving. Through coaching networking, academic coursework, mentoring
workshops and service learning activities, students learn valuable skills that will
change the way they think and lead.
Customized Career Pathway
Students accepted into the program customize their experience by selecting the Leadership
Champion or Leadership Scholar pathway.

Track 1. Leadership Champion
- Participate in annual Leadership Retreat & bi-annual Leadership Summit
- Complete six activities from LEARN (2), CONNECT (2) and LEAD (2)
Track 2. Leadership Scholar
- Participate in annual Leadership Retreat & bi-annual Leadership Summit
- Complete the Transformational Leadership Certificate (2 additional classes)
- Complete six activities from LEARN (2), CONNECT (2) and LEAD (2)
