Fashion Merchandising

The Merchandising program at UNT is one of the top programs of its kind in the nation. Working collaboratively with industry partners, we create leaders by preparing students to plan, develop, distribute, and merchandise fashion-oriented products in consumer-driven markets. Our close proximity to the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex provides graduates with unique opportunities for internships and employment upon graduation.

By taking courses in merchandising, product development, textiles, consumer behavior, buying, global sourcing, trend analysis, brand development, and promotion, students learn marketable skills that can be leveraged across multiple product categories. Competencies in teamwork, written and oral communication, consumer theory, and product knowledge prepare graduates for careers in the 21st century.
