The UNT CoLab, located just off the square in downtown Denton, is seeking Merchandising and Hospitality students to fulfill a paid internship for Summer 2024. The purpose of The UNT CoLab is to provide a vibrant off-campus venue offering quality engagement for the University and a bridge to the greater Denton Community. The UNT CoLab consists of a Mean Green/Denton-inspired Retail Boutique, Gallery and Event Venue.

The intern will assist in all aspects of the facility including the process of sourcing unique and well-curated products for the retail boutique and collaborating with vendors throughout the process. They will work with the Director on determining appropriate assortment, display and merchandising of product, and creating robust social media marketing and promotional campaigns as well as assisting with creating listings and maintaining the on-line boutique.

The intern will assist the Director with developing specific Hospitality events that will be appealing to the Denton community, leveraging UNT resources creatively. They will capitalize on key dates to build a robust calendar and develop marketing and social media campaigns promoting special programs for the year. 

Interns will provide exceptional customer service to visitors of the CoLab, assisting with coverage and managing the daily operations of the facility. Interns will assist with event coverage during scheduled facility rentals, including evening events.

Please note this internship position is intended to fulfill the required internship course credit for graduating seniors in the College of Merchandising, Hospitality & Tourism.
