Summer 2024: June 3, 2024 - August 16, 2024 (11 weeks)
Monday- Friday (full and part -time available) working around school requirements
RETAIL & HOSPITALITY TRACK (Retail/Hospitality Major Required)
- Retail Floor Operations –Shadow and/or work assigned shifts with Retail Managers and staff, to develop knowledge of the retail industry and how it effectively operates within a fitness environment. Provide assistance to members/guests with merchandise categories in the boutique including Cooper branded merchandise, Cooper Complete Vitamins, contemporary, performance , accessories, etc.
- Retail Planning & Buying – Learn how to budget and source products for the Coop and other internal divisions. Prepare plans and attend the seasonal market with the buying team.
- Event Programing – Work with our Retail Director to assist with and promote monthly events and programming to our members, learn how to coordinate projects with the marketing team, social media director, and designers and produce and run special events.
Compensation
Selected interns will be considered as seasonal hourly employees of Cooper Fitness Center working Mon-Fri, (full and part time available) 20-30 hours a week at a rate of $13.00/hr.
