In this 10 Week specialized program, you will be working in our Merchanding division. You will assist the Design & Merchandising teams and will be exposed to the fundamentals of retail and wholesale businesses. 

Merchandising Intern Duties and Responsibilities 

  • You'll be considered for another internship the following year or a full-time position once you graduate from school. 
  • Collaborate w/ design and merchandising teams to develop the seasonal product line that addresses customer needs and specific brand visions.
  • Reviewing selling reports and shopping the competitive retail landscape to identify white space opportunities and bring new product ideas to fruition.
  • Assisting w/ line sheet and sample preparation for customer and licensor meetings
  • Entering specs into our Product Lifestyle Management (PLM) System to keep track of samples, costing, and adoption of new styles.
  • Checking in and organizing development samples from the factories
  • Working w/ International suppliers directly through daily email communication

 Requirements

  • Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing/Business Majors a plus
  • 3.0 GPA or higher 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills 
  • Experience with Powerpoint, Word, and Excel preferred. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus

Project

Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and present a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.
