The Sally Beauty Social Media Intern will assist in the daily execution of organic social media activities that latter up to the brand’s social media strategy. This role will be comprised of a variety of duties including, but not limited to: actively engaging followers across several online platforms, assist in content development, content reporting, brand giveaway initiatives, identifying brand advocates, and more.  This position is a hybrid role, reporting into the office in Denton TX on Tuesdays and Weds of each week.

Primary Duties:

  • Engaging current & new social media followers to support brand’s organic social media goals 
  • Content ideation, development, reporting to fuel overall content strategy and drive brand engagement
  • Trend spotting within industry and adjacent industries to drive brand engagement and fuel content ideation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilitilies:

  • Final year in a Marketing or Public Relations program
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar role OR proven track record of a personal, highly effective social account
  • Familiarity with Office suite products 

Competencies and Attributes:

  • Avid personal social media user 
  • Creative with a knack for spotting (and ideally, developing) impactful content
  • Strong desire to learn and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment 
  • Highly communicative and detail-oriented 

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
  • The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
