Lisa Welch, Vice President of People & Culture for VisitDallas, is a promoter of the Dallas community and everything the city has to offer residents and visitors. Her passion is PEOPLE and her purpose is to inspire teams to create a sustainable culture that is inclusive, positive, respectful and FUN!  With over 25-years of experience, her specialty is in the people business and everything that supports the hospitality industry, our local community and education to develop future leaders.

Lisa fell in LOVE with hospitality working in restaurants and hotels and graduated from the University of Houston, Conrad N. Hilton College.  She is currently attending the University of North Texas, College of Merchandising, Hospitality & Tourism in pursuit of her Master of Science degree.  She has been the Director of People for large brands (Hyatt, Starwood, Omni) as well as boutique lifestyle brands (Virgin Hotels, The Joule, Makeready, Hotel ZaZa) and have enjoyed every experience and developed long-lasting friendships.  Lisa was born in Guatemala, raised as an Army Brat and she has lived throughout the US and abroad.
