Position Summary
Data Warehouse – ETL Developer Intern
- This role will support the ETL team with the development, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions such integrations, interfaces and ETL’s for Data Warehousing and other systems. As part of the IT Data and Analytics team, the Intern will work with the team to design solutions and implement programs according to the requirements and timelines specified in each business project.
Essential Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the ETL team with the develop and maintain ETL pipelines in and out of databases using combination of ETL Talend, SQL Server, Python, Java, API’s, Web Services with a focus on performance, reliability, durability, data quality, security, and SLA expectations.
- Analyzes, designs, documents, builds, tests, and implements integration technology solutions that meet the specifications of a project or service request.
- Perform data mappings and design of system ETL workflow solutions.
- Write SQL queries against MS SQL and databases.
- Provide production support for database issues such data load problems and transformation translation problems.
- Support and maintain existing ETL processes.
- Creating technical design documents, codes, and unit tests for deliverables.
- Document ETL and database warehouse processes, procedures, and flows.
- Work closely with business analysts to understand requirements and develop solutions.
- Working with Python and SQL scripting and writing PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers for database projects.
Experience and Qualifications
Qualifications
- Data Management, Data Science or Similar ongoing master’s or bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
- Experience with database, procedures and triggers is preferred.
- Oracle or Azure Databases is preferred.
- Talend Studio ETL and/or OIC integration is preferred.
- Programming languages: Oracle PL/SQL packages, MySQL, SQL, Python, Oracle APEX, HTML, PHP, JavaScript
- BI Tools: Power BI
- Other Tools: Microsoft office, Visio.
Non-Technical:
- Experience with Finance and Accounting data is a super plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly.
- Motivated to learn new applications and domains.
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to take full ownership of tasks and projects.
- Aptitude to mentor other database consumers / report analysts
- Flexibility after office hours to support as needed during major implementations.
