About This Role

The Events Management Intern, you will play a crucial role in preparing for our annual Aesthetic Next conference. In this role, you will assist with the ramp up to the largest conference in the aesthetic industry by managing relationships with faculty and vendors, consolidating and organizing content, and producing content for social media platforms.

The Events Management Intern will report to the Meeting & Events Manager.

The internship is a paid, part-time position requiring a commitment of 25 to 30 hours per week during the 12-week program. Our team operates in a hybrid remote/in-person structure with three days per week in the office. There is some flexibility into which days/times will be required to meet both the needs of the company and intern’s schedule. Ability to work on-site at our Irving, TX location is a must due to the collaboration and communication amongst team members. 

What You Will Do:

Under supervision and supported by training, the Events Management Intern will be required to:

  • Assist in managing relationships with industry leaders who will be serving as faculty
  • Work closely with third-party vendors that will host the conference
  • Answer attendee queries regarding the conference, events, and/or continuing education
  • Work in tandem with the Social Media Coordinator to create content to advertise the conference
  • Collect and consolidate all content for the conference to be distributed to the appropriate rooms during the conference

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high level of business acumen.
  • Able to demonstrate integrity, drive, and natural curiosity.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with events, vendor relations, and project management preferred.
  • Experience with large conferences is a plus
  • Familiarity with Zoom, Slack, ChatGPT, GSuite and Mac OS

Education and Experience:

  • Open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in a career in Events Management, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field

$25-$30 per hour
