As a Customer Experience Researcher Strategist Intern, you will contribute to the execution of generative and high-level evaluative customer research to help guide our business partner teams with recommendations grounded in empathetic customer-first insights. Working under the guidance of Senior Researchers and Strategists you will partner in design research projects. This includes scoping, planning, recruiting, running moderated and unmoderated research sessions, synthesizing, and reporting out findings. Outputs of your efforts will be customer-centric journey maps, behavioral personas, and deep customer understanding insights that challenge traditional business thinking. In addition to research focused efforts, there will be opportunities to help plan and run cross-functional strategy sessions to inform future business roadmaps that drive better business outcomes through enhanced experiences for our customers and/or Signet employees.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with partners across the business to help identify & frame the research problems, evaluate agencies, and recommend research methodologies
  • Assist senior researchers and strategist in conducting broad based ethnographic/contextual Design Thinking research with Signet customers or employees
  • Help the research team plan, organize, recruit, create screeners, interview scripts, and facilitation of unmoderated/moderated studies
  • Help clearly communicate research findings and insights in engaging, persuasive ways that draw others into your empathetic understanding of user needs and the broader contexts in which they interact with our brands.
  • Work within our Online Shop, Online Purchase, Service, Loyalty, Store Front, Digital in-store, or Enablement domain areas to drive enhanced customer outcomes to delight our customers and Signet employees
  • Promote and lead with CX principles to ensure that every project - large or small - starts with customer needs, strategy, and a well-defined problem to solve.
  • Package insights and present to internal stakeholders in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways
  • - storytelling skills are a must.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possesses strong understanding and passions for user-centered design
  • Highly empathetic with innate curiosity to understand not just what people do, but why they do it
  • Graduation date of May 2025 preferred
  • Excellent communication and organization capabilities
  • Self-starter attituded and team player mentality
  • Familiarity with planning, conducting and synthesizing UX/CX research activities
  • Currently enrolled and pursing a degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, UX/CX Research/Design, Anthropology, and/or equivalent field of study
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Power Point, Word, etc.)

The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour
