*If seeking an F1 Visa and do not yet reside in the U.S., you should apply a minimum of two months PRIOR to the dates listed above to allow time for issuance of an I20.
- Submit application via GradCAS.
- Educational History and Transcripts: Applicants must list ALL colleges and universities attended or currently attending. Failure to list the full academic history will delay processing.
- Submit your Official U.S. Transcripts via GradCAS. Upload your official copies of all International Transcripts/marksheets/Degree Certificates (official copies from your institution will be required if admitted)
- UNT Students/Alumni do not need to request/upload unless they have attended any schools since leaving UNT but must still list their full educational history (transferring institutions and UNT)
- English Language Proficiency (International applicants only): Please review this page for instructions on transcripts and English Language Proficiency.
- Resume/CV: A standard resume detailing work and academic experience. Upload to GradCAS.
- Recommendations: Letters of recommendation are not required; however, applicants must provide contact information for three references within GradCAS.

Funding Your MS in Hospitality Management
Students in the Hospitality Management program are encouraged to apply for a variety of competitive scholarships and graduate employment opportunities.
Scholarships
The School of Merchandising & Hospitality Management Scholarships provide financial support to qualified graduate students. Scholarship applications are typically due annually on February 1.
A scholarship award of at least $1,000 may qualify eligible non-resident students for a Texas tuition waiver, significantly reducing educational costs.
Teaching and Research Positions
Graduate students may apply for teaching, research, and hourly student assistant positions within the department.
These positions provide valuable professional experience while helping offset educational expenses. Students awarded a qualifying 20-hour-per-week assistantship may also be eligible for a non-resident tuition waiver.
