Julie brought more than 15 years of hotel sales expertise to the Hotel Association of Tarrant County (HATC) when she assumed the role of Executive Director in 2010. Her decade-long tenure as Senior Sales Account Manager at the DFW Airport Marriott South established her as a relationship-builder, both for the hotel and the broader hospitality industry, providing immense value to HATC. Julie’s proven leadership as a board member and her exceptional impact as a volunteer led to her rise to the association's top leadership position. Under her guidance, HATC has seen significant membership growth and increased support for Tarrant County's hospitality and tourism partners.
Julie is a passionate advocate for the industry, actively involved in organizations such as Texas Women in Lodging, HSMAI, MPI, NAPW, and W4. She also serves on the boards of the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association, Visit Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Tourism Improvement District, the Arts Council of Fort Worth & Tarrant County, UNT Hospitality Advisory Board, Tarrant County College Hospitality Advisory Board and the Park Glen Elementary PTA Board.
A dedicated working mom, Julie balances her professional achievements with her love for volunteering, traveling, and playing kickball in the NTKA women's league. She cherishes quality time with her husband Eric, their talented daughter Jacie, and their adventurous son Jackson.
