Carla Gourley

Carla Gourley was born in St. Charles, MO and relocated to Texas when she was 4. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from University of North Texas. Carla joined Suntex Marinas in 2021 with more than 20 years of Human Resource experience in the Hospitality Industry.  At Suntex, she serves as the Director – Talent, Training + Culture.    In this role she is responsible for partnering with the team in the areas of recruiting at the Home Office and key roles at our marinas, training and development, rewards and recognition, culture and other key Human Resource initiatives.  Her past experiences include work in the areas of Recruiting, Training & Development, New Restaurant Openings for Omni Hotels, Darden Restaurants, Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group and Brinker International.  She has opened over 125 restaurants and helped 110 Certified Trainers move into Management roles. 

While at the University of North Texas, she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority.  She spent the last 18 years volunteering with the Junior League of Dallas and now she is a sustaining advisor.  Carla currently resides in Dallas, Texas and encourages you live, love and laugh!
