Board Experience

CSSI- 1 of 3 Independent directors (first ones) chosen in early 2016. Served as board member for 2016 and President/CEO and board member since January, 2017. Conducted a search and hired 2 additional Directors during 2019.

Harold’s Stores- CEO and board member of this publicly traded upscale clothier in a turnaround situation. Worked very closely with the board on strategy and financial restructuring.

Craft & Hobby Association- served on this Craft industry board from 2006-8 as the only big company board member. Left after I moved to a different industry

Natural Wonders- served on this public traded novelty gift company board from 1999-2001. Left when the company filed for bankruptcy.

First Agricultural Bank/Bank of Boston- Pittsfield, Ma-based bank while I was CEO of KB Toys. Served 1992-94 , when Bank of Boston bought First Aggie and put in under their board, the entire board wad disbanded.

Norman Rockwell Museum- served on this Stockbridge based museum from 1990-96. Actively involved in redoing their retail store.

Adelphi University- served on President’s Advisory Council, one step below Board of Trustees from 1999-2004

University of Texas- 4 years on Parent’s Advisory Board, a selective group of about 50 parents for a university of 50,000. Role was 2011-2015

Chief Strategy Officer of Pivotal Retail Group- Board brought me in to coach and develop strategy for first time CEO, 2013

Consultant/ Chief Strategy Officer for Celebrating Home, a direct selling organization, 2010-12. Brought in by family board to help run the company after removal of the CEO.

School- BBA, MBA from Adelphi University, President of SAE fraternity, 3 year starting member of baseball team, 4- year member and captain of squash team. Elected to Adelphi Hall of Fame in 1997. Multiple academic/athletic awards. Attended Harvard Executive Management program

Have served as Vestry member at Saint Michaels and All Angels, 2nd largest Episcopal church in the country

Have served as guest lecturer at UNT Retail/Hospitality School and SMU Executive MBA program
