Al has more than 30 years of consulting experience assisting retailers and branded
suppliers with strategic growth and productivity improvement initiatives. His most
recent consulting work assisted retailers with innovation and new product development
services. Throughout his career Al has been a frequent speaker on the future of retailing
and innovation. Previously Al served with several retail consultancies: Management
Horizons, PwC, Senn-Delaney/Arthur Andersen, Retail Forward, Kantar Retail and Kalypso.
His work included developing strategies and plans for improving market positioning,
comp store sales, customer focus, competitive appeals, omnichannel transformations
and merchandising economics. His consumer products experience includes marketing,
brand strategies, retail distribution and channel strategies, shopper insights, category
management, and introducing new products.
