The Fashion Merchandising concentration requires 18 credit hours of specific course work to complete the BS in Merchandising degree, one of the top programs of its kind in the nation. Working collaboratively with industry partners, we create leaders by preparing students to plan, develop, distribute, and merchandise fashion-oriented products in consumer-driven markets. Additionally, our close proximity to the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex provides graduates with unique opportunities for internships and employment upon graduation

Students will take courses in merchandising, product development, textiles, consumer behavior, buying, global sourcing, trend analysis, brand development, and promotion.

Marketable skills include competencies in teamwork, written and oral communication, consumer theory, and product knowledge, preparing graduates for successful careers.
