Southwest Solutions Group is seeking interns for the summer of 2024 who are eager to learn and desire to make an impact in our company. The internship is for twelve weeks (40 hours per week). The Marketing intern will be a vital member of the marketing team and will be involved in helping the marketing team with various projects.
Location: Lewisville, TX, Hybrid, May 20- August 9th 2024
Pay: $15/hour
Duties will include:
- Search Engine Optimization: Utilize existing tools (SEM Rush, Google Analytics, Bright Local, Search Console, ScreamingFrog, etc.) to research and identify areas of improvement for SEO, specifically locally
- Draft and post content for the website (i.e., articles and blogs), with SEO in mind, utilizing WordPress
- SWOT/Competitive Research: review competitors' websites, brochures, social channels, etc. and provide suggestions on where we could improve – specifically user experience and branding consistency
- Work with Sales Teams to identify opportunities for Case Studies and Videos; help coordinate the creation of assets
- Work with Service/Install Teams to identify opportunities for Assembly and Install Videos/Timelapse Videos; help coordinate the creation of assets
- Identify opportunities for targeted campaign(s) and implement (this would be in tandem with the Data Analysis Intern Heidi is working on)
Preferred qualifications:
- Majoring in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Advertising
- Going into sophomore, junior, or senior year
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Working knowledge of (or desire to learn): Google Analytics, Google Search Console, HubSpot, WordPress, SEMRush, basic HTML, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Working knowledge of SEO
- Attention to detail
