Come and get some retail therapy! The College of Merchandising, Hospitality & Tourism’s 3rd Thursday Sample Sale returns next week, February 16th, on the 3rd floor of Chilton Hall. Previously an annual event, the Sample Sales have now been nearly a monthly highlight during the semester. This semester, sales will happen this month and in April.

Featured retailers Fossil, The Container Store, Michaels, and Global Views donated items to the Merchandising and Digital Retailing Department that are in turn bargain priced for these sales. Proceeds go toward scholarships for students and student travel grants to professional conferences such as the National Retail Federation Big Show held in New York City each January. Conferences like this one give students the opportunity to learn from and network with fashion and retail industry leaders as well as connect with potential employers.

The biggest tip is to arrive early for the best selection of items. The sale starts at 9:30am and promises to bring a lot of great deals in handbags, wallets, storage items, home furnishings and much more. Venmo, Zelle and cash are accepted.
