Hospitality Management Career Expo 2010

The UNT hospitality management program hosted the annual Hospitality Career Expo event on March 4, 2010. Over 60 recruiters from hotels, restaurants, clubs, food distributors, contract management companies shared career opportunities with hospitality management students.  Dr. Marvel Maunder, a new faculty member recruited this year to serve as the hospitality management career development coordinator, was pleased with student participation with over 600 undergraduate and graduate students in attendance.   "The employers were impressed with our students, our facilities, and our programs," says Maunder.  "They are quite eager to recruit from our rich UNT talent pool," she adds.   Dr. Maunder also attributed the unprecedented success of the Career Expo to Melissa Ackors, Special Events Intern and Hospitality Management Senior, who was responsible for planning and executing this exciting event. Employers were impressed by the students, and they praised Melissa's efforts for hosting one of the most successful Expos in recent history.
