UNT graduate program coordinator elected as director of research for the US West Federation of I-CHRIE

Dr. Lisa Kennon, associate professor of hospitality management and graduate program coordinator for the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management, was recently elected as the Director of Research for the US West Federation of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (I-CHRIE).  The US West Federation represents all I-CHRIE members in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.


Dr. Kennon has an established record of publications, research grants, and industry research, which qualifies her for the position.  As the Director of Research, she will oversee all Federation publications, oversee any publication aimed at the graduate student population as well as the academic professoriate, and plan and supervise any paper presentations at meetings or conferences.
