Crutsinger Joins UNT Delegation to South Korea
October 15, 2009

Dr. Christy Crutsinger, Associate Dean, Professor, and Faculty Special Assistant to the Provost, joined a ten member UNT delegation to South Korea, October 2-10, 2009.  The group, led by Provost Wendy K. Wilkins, represented diverse university administrators, faculty, and staff from engineering, IT, music, mathematics, merchandising, and the UNT-International office. The delegation was hosted by administrators and faculty from Konkuk, Hanyang, Kyungpook National, Keimyung, Yonsei, KAIST, and Ewha Women's universities. "The advances in technology, generation of knowledge, commitment to education, and warm hospitality are just a few of the attributes that make Korea an attractive partner for UNT students and faculty," says Crutsinger.  "As we seek to internationalize the curriculum and increase the involvement of students and faculty in international exchanges, we must continue building these relationships."

A highlight of the trip was the opportunity to reconnect with UNT alumni living in and around the school area.  The School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management has a rich history of collaboration with Korean universities hosting 14 visiting research scholars over the past nine years, employing five full-time Korean faculty members, and planning a merchandising study abroad trip to Seoul in the Summer of 2010.  Go Global!  Go Korea!
