Lea Dopson, Hospitality Management Chair, Publishes Two Industry Textbook

Dr. Lea Dopson, Chair of the Hospitality Management Division, recently authored two industry textbooks, Food and Beverage Cost Control and Managerial Accounting for the Hospitality Industry. The comprehensive texts focus on the application of business principles within the hospitality industry.  The texts have been adopted by colleges and universities around the world, and have been translated into both Mandarin and Orthodox Chinese.  

As Chair of the Hospitality Management Division, Dr. Dopson oversees innovative programming for over 600 undergraduate students. She is an active member of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management, serving as the treasurer since 2004.  Her research has been published in the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, the Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education, the Journal of Applied Hospitality Management, and the Journal of Teaching in Travel and Tourism.  Congratulations Dr. Dopson!
