Hotel Association of Greater Dallas Supports UNT Students
July 30, 2008

Sarah Greenleaf and Amanda Brown, hospitality management students, each received a $1,000 scholarship from the Hotel Association of Greater Dallas.  While balancing full academic schedules, Brown and Greenleaf are gaining valuable industry experience in the hotel industry.  Amanda is currently working as the concierge for the Grand Hyatt DFW and will graduate in December 2008. Sarah, night audit supervisor for the Omni Mandalay, plans to graduate in Spring 2009.

The Hotel Association of Greater Dallas is a non-profit trade organization that represents approximately 32,000 hotel rooms in cities across the greater Dallas area and promotes the interests of the hospitality industry through community involvement, political awareness, and focused member benefits, such as student scholarships.  The annual scholarship luncheon was held on June 2, 2008 at the W-Dallas Victory hotel with over 200 members and guests. Christy Crutsinger, Associate Dean of the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management, delivered the keynote address.
