Merchandising Students Explore Career Opportunities in New York
June 24, 2008

Thirty-three merchandising students completed the New York Study Tour during the 2008 three-week summer term. No doubt, New York serves as the perfect venue for engaging students in an intense study of merchandising.  Students experienced both the fashion and home furnishings industries through visits to manufacturing facilities, retail establishments, museums, historical structures, and industry support organizations.  Highlights of the trip included visits to Alixandre Furs, The News, the Color Association of the U.S., Macy's, Dulken & Derrick, DK Display, Lee Jeans, Fashion Institute of Technology, and various apparel showrooms. Famous New York attractions and a Broadway show provided a well-rounded experience of the Big Apple.
