Dr. Bharath M. Josiam and Dr. Johnny Sue Reynolds Represent SMHM-UNT in Asia in Summer 2007

 This summer (2007) was indeed a hectic one for Dr. Bharath M. Josiam, Associate Professor in the Hospitality Management Division. He was on 17 different flights in one month. Dr. Josiam presented papers at conferences in Penang, Malaysia, Beijing, China and New Delhi, India. Dr. Johnny Sue Reynolds was co-presenter in Beijing and New Delhi.

Their papers were part of a multi-continent research project on Attitudes to Work of Hospitality Management Students. With co-researchers, students in USA, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and South Korea were surveyed. Their paper received an award as "Best Paper" in the conference in New Delhi.

As professors in the Hospitality Management Division, Drs. Josiam and Reynolds took the opportunity to visit wonders of the world such as the Taj Mahal in India and the Great Wall of China and other world-heritage monuments like the Qutub Minar and Red Fort in New Delhi, India and the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, China. On his return, Dr. Josiam illustrates his lectures with his experiences from his international travels to enhance student learning.
