Hotel Association of Tarrant County Annual Gala recognizes Hospitality and Tourism Management Faculty and Students
Dec 17,2013

On November 19, 2013, UNT Hospitality and Tourism Management Program faculty and students were invited to attend the annual Hotel Association of Tarrant County (HATC) Casino Night “Shaken not Stirred,” a James Bond themed event.  The tickets for faculty and students were graciously donated by The Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine Texas.

The HATC Student Chapter members volunteered for the event.  Students were responsible for helping with setting up, greeting guests at the door, and working the live and silent auctions.  HATC Student Chapter President, Jennifer McNew stated, “Working this event gives us the opportunity to meet with and talk to industry professionals one on one.  We are able show our commitment to the hospitality industry by volunteering and showing support for this important event that raises money for student scholarships.”

Now in its nineteenth year, the Casino Night event has raised thousands of dollars while bringing industry friends together for networking and fun.  The live and silent auctions packages included:  autographed sports memorabilia, hotel and restaurant packages, and dream vacations to Hawaii, Thailand, and Tahoe.

HATC is an organization dedicated to the enhancement of the hospitality industry, and all funds raised at the Casino Night support future leaders through scholarship programs.
